Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan
October 20–24
Wendy Q. *highly* recommends getting yourself to Tajimi! This workshop offers ceramic enthusiasts a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the heart of Tajimi—the undiscovered ceramic capital of Japan. Learn under the guidance of internationally renowned ceramic artist Shingo Takeuchi and explore the region’s rich ceramic heritage alongside a knowledgeable interpreter guide. You will gain exclusive access to ceramic knowledge and culture, visit a bespoke clay processor, and experience a tea ceremony in the Satoyama (mountain village). Connect craft, nature, and mindfulness at this retreat.

Museum of Flight
Through January 18, 2027
Runway to Runway features 100 artifacts ranging from classic suits and skirts to capes and go-go boots and onward to today’s thoughtful neoclassic styles. Each uniform reflects the person who wore it, the purpose behind its design and the responsibilities carried out while it was worn. The interactives in the exhibit allow visitors to enhance their fashion sense with touchable fabrics, hands-on activities. The exhibit also pulls back the curtain on the illusion of style to glimpse the racial barriers, sexism, and ignored workers’ rights that challenged flight attendants on every flight.

The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), Seattle
Thursday–Sunday
The Henry Art Tour will view over 20 of Henry’s most colorful outdoor and indoor murals through some of Seattle’s most iconic neighborhoods. Visit two kid-friendly brew pubs to get a drink, eat a snack, and get up-close to the murals. Along the way, there’s a stop at Henry’s gallery on the waterfront where you can purchase original art and souvenirs. The tour bus is air-conditioned, equipped with a great sound system, and is wheelchair-accessible for up to two riders.
